musings of a ragamuffin |
i live and breathe for these things: my wife, my faith, a great cup of coffee, and the opportunity to make the world better in some way with each day given. |
This morning, we had the chance to visit the new Buttermilk Kitchen, which opens to all on Tuesday of this week. We invited our friends Ben and Kerri to join us. We were the first customers to try the new restaurant, which will be serving breakfast to late lunch each day. The location is on Roswell Rd, between Sandy Springs and Buckhead. They are French Pressing Batdorf & Bronson’s Dancing Goats Blend coffee. It is owned and run by Chef Suzanne Vizethann, who won on Food Network’s “Chopped” last year.
I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, made with local stone ground grits and sweet Savannah shrimp. April ordered the sourdough waffle, made with a 104 year old starter. Ben ordered the “Dad’s Waffle”, a sourdough waffle topped with a beef burger patty and maple syrup, and Kerri ordered the flank steak with salsa verde. The food was great, the pricing is consistent with the Buckhead area.
